Answer:

Molar concentration of HCl in this Solution = 0.01 molar

Explanation:

Given pH = 1.37

So Concentration of H⁺ is equal to 10^{- 1.37} = 0.042 molar

Volume of HCl solution = 250 ml

Since,

             1000 ml solution contain 0.042 mole of HCl

              250 ml solution contain = \frac{0.042 X 250}{1000} = 0.01 molar

Round off value = 0.01

Molar concentration of HCl in this Solution = 0.01 molar

Please help me I'm really confused on how to do this. Can someone break it down for me? (stoichiometry)
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

so with every stoichiometry problem with a mass it will make it so you can do the conversion factor with reactants or products.

if you dont understand unit conversions try to study how to set it up. anyways

a.) C12H22O11 has a mass of 342.01 Grams per mole

divide 1.202 G by 342.01 G to get 0.004 miles

b.) you're just taking the AMU of each element in the chemical multiply it by how many there is of it in the chemical, then divide it by the mass of a mole of the chemical.

c.) you take your answers of part b and multiply them by Avogadro's number

If 3.95 g of N2H4 reacts and produces 0.750 L of N2, at 295 K and 1.00 atm, what is the percent yield of the reaction?
adell [148]
Molar mass of N2H4 = 32 grams/mole
3.95 grams of  N2H4 = 3.95/32
                                  = 0.123 moles

This will produce 0.123 moles of N2
Now,
From the gas law equation.
P.V = n x R x T
P = 1 atm (given)
V = 0.123 x 0.082057 x 295
V = 2.97 Liters

Theoretical yield = 2.97 Liters.
Actual yield = 0.750 Liters

percentage yield = (0.75/2.97) x 100 %
                           = 25.25 %
