Answer:

The graph of f(x) and g(x) is defined for x>0 as logarithmic function is always defined for x>0. By looking at the attached graph of f(x)=log(7 x) and g(x)=log(4 x) we could clearly observe that

f(x) and g(x) tends to minus infinity as x tends to zero i.e. f(x)≈g(x) when x→0.

otherwise f(x)>g(x) for x>0.

Find the sum and product of the roots. 2x^2 + 6x - 8 = 0
netineya [11]
Suppose you can factorize:

ax^2+bx+c=a(x-r_1)(x-r_2)

Then by expanding the right side, you have

ax^2+bx+c=a(x^2-(r_1+r_2)x+r_1r_2)=ax^2-a(r_1+r_2)x+ar_1r_2

which means in this case, you have to have

\begin{cases}6=-2(r_1+r_2)\\-8=2r_1r_2\end{cases}\implies\begin{cases}r_1+r_2=-3\\r_1r_2=-4\end{cases}

vfiekz [6]
<span>At a corner gas station, the revenue R varies directly with the number g of gallons of gasoline sold. If the revenue is $44.50 when the number of gallons sold is 10, find a linear equation that relates revenue R to the number g of gallons of gasoline. Then find the revenue R when the number of gallons of gasoline sold is 15.5.

Solution:
As the question mentioned the direct relationship between the quantities, hence
10 gallons of gasoline sold =  $44.50
15.5 gallons of gasoline sold = $x
by cross multiplication, we get that
10x = 15.5 * 44.50
which implies that
x = 68.975
Thus by $</span>68.975 revenue is obtained by selling 15.5 gallons of gasoline.

How do you write 125.06 million dollars in at least four different ways.
Ludmilka [50]
$125,060,000

one-hundred twenty-five million, and sixty thousand dollars

I mean 125.06 in fraction form is 6253/50, if that works great.

125.06 million dollars, if you can use the number in the question.

Molodets [167]
D1 = 60 for a price of $80. Charging $80 will ensure supply exceeds demand.
___
The store apparently could charge a price slightly lower than $80, but we cannot tell from the chart how much lower.
