a rino can run at speeds about 28 miles per hour. what is that speed in feet per secsec, to the nearest whole number? (Remember
Solnce55 [7]

Remark

You can use  a method called unit analysis to solve this problem. You will use it many times in your education later on.

Solve

\dfrac{28 mile}{hour} *\dfrac{5280 feet}{mile}*\dfrac{1 hour}{60 min}*\dfrac{1 min}{60 sec}

Now sort out the numbers  in the numerator and those in the denominator and multiply them together.

<em><u>Numerator</u></em> 28 * 5280 * 1 * 1 = 147840

<em><u>Denominator:</u></em> 60 * 60 = 3600

Now divide the numerator by denominator

Answer = 147840 / 3600 = 41.1 Feet / second

28 miles per hour = 41.1 feet / second

Find the unknown measures. around lengths to the nearest hundredth and angle measures to the nearest degree.
qaws [65]

Answer:

choice 3)

JK = 3.51

WK = 9.15

∠J = 69°

Step-by-step explanation:

sin 21° = JK/9.8

0.3584 = JK/9.8

cos 21° = WK/9.8

0.9336 = WK/9.8

WK = 9.15

∠J = 90° - 21° = 69°

A 2-column table with 9 rows. The first column is labeled x with entries negative 4, negative 3, negative 2, negative 1, 0, 1, 2
rjkz [21]

Answer:

(C)As x → ∞, f(x) → –∞, and as x → –∞, f(x) → ∞.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the values in the table:

\left|\begin{array}{c|c}x&f(x)\\--&--\\-4&18\\-3&9\\-2&6\\-1&3\\0&0\\1&-3\\2&-6\\3&-9\\4&-18\end{array}\right|

We observe from the table that:

As x increases, the value of f(x) decreases

  • i.e. Over time, when x → ∞, f(x) → –∞

As x decrease, the value of f(x) increases

  • Similarly, when x → –∞, f(x) → ∞.

Therefore: that which best predicts the end behavior of the graph of f(x) is:

(C)As x → ∞, f(x) → –∞, and as x → –∞, f(x) → ∞.

The population of a city is expected to increase by 7.5% next year. If p represents the current population, which expression rep
qaws [65]

Answer:

Population next year = 1.075p

Step-by-step explanation:

The current population can be represented by 1 p the increase in the population number by next year is 7.5% p or 7.5/100 p that equals to 0.075p. The expression that represents the expected population by next year is:

Population next year = This year population + expected growth

Population next year = 1p + 0.075p = 1.075p
