The speed of the rain after accelerating for addition 7\text{ s} will be \boxed{11.62\text{ m/s}}.

Explanation:

Given:

The speed of the train after 5.1\text{ s} is 4.9\text{ m/s}.

The initial speed of the train is 0\text{ m/s}.

Concept:

The acceleration of a body is defined as the rate at which the velocity of the body in motion changes every second. If the acceleration of the body is in the direction of motion of the body, the body will be accelerated.

As the train stars from rest and accelerates away from the station, the speed of the train will increase according to the first equation of motion.

The expression for the first equation of motion for the motion of the train is:

\boxed{v_f=v_i+at}

Here, v_f is the final speed of the train, v_i is the initial speed of the train, a is the acceleration of the train and t is the time taken by the train.

Substitute the values of velocity for first 5.1\text{ s} of motion of the train.

\begin{aligned}4.9&=0+a.(5.1)\\a&=\dfrac{4.9}{5.1}\text{ m/s}^2\\&=0.96\text{ m/s}^2\end{aligned}

Now, the for the speed of the train after it travels for addition 7.0\text{ s} or a total of 12.1\text{ s}.

\begin{aligned}v_f&=0+(0.96)(12.1)\text{ m/s}\\v_f&=11.62\text{ m/s}\end{aligned}

Thus, The speed of the rain after accelerating for addition 7\text{ s} will be \boxed{11.62\text{ m/s}}.

Acceleration is the rate of change of the velocity of a moving object. To determine the speed the object has at a certain time, we need to determine the acceleration first by dividing the speed with the time given. We do as follows:

acceleration = 4.9 m/s / 5.1 s = 0.96 m/s^2

To determine the velocity after 7.1 s, we multiply 7.1 s to the acceleration.

speed or velocity = 0.96 x 7.1 = 6.52 m/s

Which element has the greatest number of valence electrons?
nalin [4]

Answer: Option B) oxygen (O)

Explanation:

The number of valence electrons in an element refers to the number of electrons in its outermost shell.

Hence, for each of the given elements, they are as follows:

- Phosphorus (P) has an atomic number of 15, with an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2 2p6, 3s2 3p3. Hence, it has 5 valence electrons.

- Oxygen (0) has an atomic number of 8, with an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2 2p6. Hence, it has 6 valence electrons.

- Sodium (Na), has an atomic number of 11, with an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2 2p6, 3s1. Hence, it has 1 valence electron.

- Magnesium (Mg) has an atomic number of 12, with an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2 2p6, 3s2. Hence, it has 2 valence electrons.

Thus, oxygen with 6 outermost electrons has the greatest number of valence electrons among the given elements.

A 65 kg students is walking on a slackline, a length of webbing stretched between two trees. the line stretches and sags so that
polet [3.4K]

Answer : Tension in the line = 936.7 N

Explanation :

It is given that,

Mass of student, m = 65 kg

The angle between slackline and horizontal, \theta=20^0

The two forces that acts are :

(i) Tension

(ii) Weight

So, from the figure it is clear that :

mg=2T\ sin\ \theta

T=\dfrac{mg}{2\ sin\theta}

T=\dfrac{65\ kg\times 9.8\ m/s^2}{2(sin\ 20)}

T=936.7\ N

Hence, this is the required solution.

A 15 g ball at the end of 2.4 m string is swung in the horizontal circle. It revolves once every 2.09 s. What is the magnitude o
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

0.325 N

Explanation:

From the question,

T = 4π²rm/t²............................ Equation 1

Where T = Tension, r = radius or length of the string, m = mass of the string, t = time.

Given: r = 2.4 m, m = 15 g = 0.015 kg, t = 2.09 s.

Constant: π = 3.14

Substitute these values into equation 1

T = 4(3.14²)(2.4)(0.015)/2.09²

T = 1.4198/4.3681

T = 0.325 N
