Volume is given to be 4.5 m^3

v = length x width x height
v = lwh
want everything in one variable w
given that;
l = 2w
using volume...
h = 4.5 / lw
h = 4.5 / 2w^2

surface area = wl + 2hl + 2wh
sub for length and height
s = 2w^2 + 9/w + 4.5/w
s = 2w^2 + 13.5/w
derivative s
s' = 4w - 13.5/w^2
0 = 4w - 13.5/w^2
13.5/w^2 = 4w
13.5 = 4w^3
13.5/4 = w^3
3.375 = w^3
cube root
1.5 meters = w
then the length = 2(1.5) = 3 meters
height = 4.5/(3*1.5) = 1 meter

Reduce to simplest form.<br> -7/12 + 3/8<br> (They are fractions)
denpristay [2]

Answer:

-5/24

Step-by-step explanation:

You first change -7/12 to -14/24, and 3/8 to 9/24 so they have the same denominator. You then do -14/24 + 9/24. That will be the same as the opposite of the answer to 14/24 - 9/24.

14/24 - 9/24 = 5/24

-5/24

A scientist measures a substance to be 0.8 grams. Calculate the percent of error in the measurement. Show all work for full cred
Volgvan
You'll need to give a bit more information for the question to be answered. You can only calculate the percentage of error if you know what the mass of the substance *should be* and what you've *measured* it to be.

In other words, if a substance has a mass of 0.55 grams and you measure it to be 0.80 grams, then the percent of error would be:

percent of error = { | measured value - actual value | / actual value } x 100%

So, in this case:

percent of error = { | 0.80 - 0.55 | / 0.55 } x 100%
percent of error = { | 0.25 | / 0.55 } x 100%
percent of error = 0.4545 x 100%
percent of error = 45.45%

So, in order to calculate the percent of error, you'll need to know what these two measurements are. Once you know these, plug them into the formula above and you should be all set!

Which of the following is the main of the set of data below? 30, 29, 28, 30, 24, 12, 26, 33, 25, 23
Marianna [84]

Answer:

The mean of the data is 26.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided data:

30, 29, 28, 30, 24, 12, 26, 33, 25, 23

Mean can be calculated as:

The average of all the data in a set.

x=\frac{\Sigma x_{i}}{n}

Therefore,

x=\frac{30+29+28+30+24+12+26+33+25+23}{10}

x=\frac{260}{10}

x=26

Thus, the mean of the data is 26.
