For example, if you were trying to say, ‘Jessie took Jessie’s dog out to walk around Jessie’s neighborhood,” you would say, “Jessie took her dog out to walk around her neighborhood.” ‘Her’ would be the pronoun. It takes place of the noun ‘Jessie’ and prevents repetition.
