To solve this problem yo need to have the "x", the "y", and the radius. To find the radius since it is not given we use the formula.

sq rt(-3^2+1^2)

sq rt(9+1)

sq rt(10) would be the length of the radius in this case.

Then we use the sine cosine and tangent fractions

sin:y/r

cos:x/r

tan:y/x

With the values plugged in the equations are

SIN:1/sqrt(10) Since there can´t be a sq rt in hte denominator we change it to 1(sq rt(10))/10

COS:-3/sqrt(10) Since there can´t be a sq rt in the denominator we change it to -3(sq rt(10))/10

TAN:1/-3 This one can stay the same.

This would be the measures of SIN, COS, and TAN.

some say that to brew an excellent cup of coffee, you must have a brewing temperature off 200 degrees, plus or minus five degree
ASHA 777 [7]
Your equation for the maximum brewing temperature should be x = 200 + 5 because according to your word problem, the temp. can be five degrees above 200 degrees.

x = 200 + 5
x = 205

Your equation for the minimum brewing temperature should be x = 200 - 5 because according to your word problem, the temp. can be five degrees below 200 degrees.

x = 200 - 5
x = 195

Evaluate the equation 4K-10/k=8
solong [7]

Answer:

k = 1 + sqrt(7/2) or k = 1 - sqrt(7/2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for k over the real numbers:

4 k - 10/k = 8

Bring 4 k - 10/k together using the common denominator k:

(2 (2 k^2 - 5))/k = 8

Multiply both sides by k:

2 (2 k^2 - 5) = 8 k

Expand out terms of the left hand side:

4 k^2 - 10 = 8 k

Subtract 8 k from both sides:

4 k^2 - 8 k - 10 = 0

Divide both sides by 4:

k^2 - 2 k - 5/2 = 0

Add 5/2 to both sides:

k^2 - 2 k = 5/2

Add 1 to both sides:

k^2 - 2 k + 1 = 7/2

Write the left hand side as a square:

(k - 1)^2 = 7/2

Take the square root of both sides:

k - 1 = sqrt(7/2) or k - 1 = -sqrt(7/2)

Add 1 to both sides:

k = 1 + sqrt(7/2) or k - 1 = -sqrt(7/2)

Add 1 to both sides:

Answer: k = 1 + sqrt(7/2) or k = 1 - sqrt(7/2)
