Casual attribution could be defined as the scientific study of cause. Attribution theory- this seeks to explain how people attribute causes of their behaviour or the behavior of other people. In Miller's study(1984) she tried to understand how American children attribute causes to people's negative behaviour. Americans with a rather individualistic culture attributed negative behaviour to personal problems while Indians, with a more collectivist culture than individualistic, attributed negative behaviour to situational problems.
