This is true.

The function of the spleen is to remove and destroy worn out (and useless) red blood cells.

The spleen also stores platelets and white blood cells and fights some types of bacteria.

Have an awesome day! :)

Hey there,
It is True.
The spleen acts as a filter for blood as part of the immune system. And our red blood cells are removed by our spleen, and platelets and white blood cells are stored there. It also helps to fight certain kinds of bacteria.

The red blood cell contains hemoglobin. It removes carbon dioxide away from our body as it transports it to the lungs when we exhale. And red blood cells are made in our bone marrow

Hope this helps ^_^
