The first step I would use is to use a magnet to remove the iron filings. This is because only metal is attracted to magnets. I would then use a sieve to filter the sand and salt from the gravel. This is because the gravel will have a larger diameter than the sand and salt particles, and will stay behind while the salt and sand will pass through the sieve. Finally, I would remove the salt from the sand by placing the mixture in water. The sand will tend to sink to the bottom while the salt will dissolve into solution.

klasskru [66]
It is D.) because it would sit there forever to who knows. There is always something that is used from something according to the food chain. Take a dead bird for example. Consumers would not want to eat a bird that has no nutrients that is alive. So this is when decomposers swoop in. Maggots, fungi, worms etc. decompose the dead body and if is was fungi, the nutrient will go into the soil and the process starts again providing nutrients to plants.

What is the difference between bacterial infections and viral infections?
ss7ja [257]
Bacterial infections are caused by bacteria, and viral infections are caused by viruses. Perhaps the most important distinction between bacteria and viruses is that antibiotic drugs usually kill bacteria, but they aren't effective against viruses.
