Equate and solve for x
4x =  \dfrac{1}{2}x + 280

4x- \dfrac{1}{2}x = 280

3\dfrac{1}{2}x = 280

\dfrac{7x}{2} = 280

7x =560

x = 560 \div 7

x = 80
