Use the table to work out the values of a, b,
Dvinal [7]
So to find the value of -3 do the following process:

Insert the -3 in the x’s in the equation on the top of the table

y= 5x -3x to the second power + 3

y= 5 (-3) -3(-3) to the second power + 3

Then continue to simplify the equation

y= -15 + 9 to the second power + 3

y= -15 + 84

y = 69

Y= 69 for the chart for -3

For b, c, and d insert the number in the x values and simplify like the previous equation.

If you are confused, feel free to ask questions. I hope this is effective and helps you in your studies.

Solve the inequality.
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

\huge x >  \frac{7}{3}  \\

Step-by-step explanation:

8( \frac{1}{2} x -  \frac{1}{4} ) > 12 - 2x \\

<u>Expand the terms in the bracket</u>

That's

8( \frac{1}{2} x) - 8( \frac{1}{4} ) > 12 - 2x \\ 4x - 2 > 12 - 2x

Move -2x to the other side of the inequality

4x + 2x - 2 > 12 \\ 6x - 2  > 12

<u>Move - 2 to the other side of the inequality</u>

6x > 12 + 2 \\ 6x > 14

Divide both sides by 6

\frac{6x}{6}  >  \frac{14}{6}  \\

We have the final answer as

x >  \frac{7}{3}  \\

Hope this helps you

1. A number is chosen at random from 1 to 25. Find the probability of not selecting a prime number.
belka [17]
Prime numbers are 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23 that's 9 of them the other 16 are not prime (1,4,6,8,9,10,12,14,15,16,18,20,21,22,24,25)
so 16/25 or 64% is the probability of not getting a prime number
