A + b + c = 72

a = b - 1

c = b + 1

(b - 1) + b + (b + 1) = 72

Simplify

3b = 72

b = 24

a = 24 - 1

a = 23

Samantha loves to download new music. She originally had 52 songs but plans to purchase 2 new songs each week. She wants to know
aleksley [76]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a93 = 93 + 2(52 − 1)

a93 = 93 + 2(52 + 1)

a93 = 52 + 2(93 + 1)

a93 = 52 + 2(93 − 1)

Originally 52 - Get rid of the first 2

a93 = 52 + 2(93 + 1)

a93 = 52 + 2(93 − 1)

2 each week. - Annoying. That doesn't help.

a93 = 52 + 2(93 + 1)

a93 = 52 + 2(93 − 1)

We're not buying any new ones in the first week, so purchases are one down.

a93 = 52 + 2(93 − 1)

I think we made it.

Using the functions s = 13.5h, which statement is true?
Archy [21]

A function is a relationship between inputs where each input is related to exactly one output.

The domain of s = 13.5h are (0, 1, 2, 3, 4).

The range of s = 13.5h are (0, 13.5, 27, 40.5, 54).

<h3>What is a function?</h3>

A function is a relationship between inputs where each input is related to exactly one output.

Example:

f(x) = 2x + 1

f(1) = 2 + 1 = 3

f(2) = 2 x 2 + 1 = 4 + 1 = 5

The outputs of the functions are 3 and 5

The inputs of the function are 1 and 2.

We have,

s = 13.5h

For h = 0,

s = 0

For h = 1,

s = 13.5

For h = 2,

s = 27

For h = 3,

s = 40.5

For h = 4,

s = 54

We see that,

The domain of s = 13.5h are (0, 1, 2, 3, 4).

The range of s = 13.5h are (0, 13.5, 27, 40.5, 54).

Thus,

The domain of s = 13.5h are (0, 1, 2, 3, 4).

The range of s = 13.5h are (0, 13.5, 27, 40.5,  54).

The height of a triangle is 4 inches greater than the base. The area of the triangle is 70 square inches.
Alexxandr [17]

Answer: 10 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to solve a system of equations.

The formula to calculate a triangle area is A = (b.h)/2

where b is the base and h is the height. This will be our first equation.

Since the height is 4 inches greater than the base, the second equation will be: h = b+4

We replace h and the value of the area (70 square inches) in the first equation, and we solve it by using the cuadratic equation formula:

70 = (b . (b+4)) / 2

70 . 2 = b² + 4b

140 = b² +4b

0 = b² + 4b - 140

The roots of this polynomial are -14 and 10. Since a distance can't be negative, the length of the base is 10 inches.
