The presence of which kind of molecule determines the concentrations of other substances in the body?
Contact [7]

The right answer is water.

A solution is a liquid containing several constituents

* The majority constituent is called solvent. Most often consists of water, the solution is called aqueous solution.

* The substances in solution are called solutes.

* The species in solution are either molecules or ions.

If we add water in the aqueous solution, we will have a dilution. On the contrary, if we add solute or remove water (pure water in solutes) we will have a concentration.

A rat deprived of food will learn a new response even if it is given only a nonnutritive, saccharine-sweetened substance after p
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer: The drive theory of motivation.

Explanation:

The drive threory of motivation is based on the principle that organisms have certain psycological or physiological needs (in this case, hunger). When those needs are not satisfied, a tension in the organism is produced, and with it a drive to seek the satisfaction of that need.

Because the substance the rat recieves is nonnutritive (it doesn't reduce the rat's hunger), we can clearly see that the rat isn't performing the response because of this drive, seeking for the satisfaction of its hunger, but is motivated by another feeling. Therefore, this observation is problematic for the drive theory of motivation.

A submarine robot is operating near the ocean floor. What pressure and temperature data will it most likely record?
STALIN [3.7K]

The submarine will most likely find data that shows the highest pressure data and the lowest temperature data (unless of course it's near a hydrothermal vent). This is because due to the depth there's a lot more water above it putting a lot of pressure on the sub, and very little sunlight to heat up the water.
