Answer:4. "I should avoid the use of salt substitutes containing potassium."

Explanation:

Salt substitute potassium are salt substitutes which contains "potassium chloride" alone or mixed with regular salt which is "sodium chloride", these are available as a way to cut back sodium intake which contributes to high blood pressure. However in this patient, taking salt substitute potassium could pose a health risk because lisinopril raises blood potassium levels, therefore concurrent use of lisinopril and salt substitute potassium would further increase the blood levels of potassium (hyperkalemia) which could cause side effects like irregular heart rhythm and in severe cases lead to kidney failure, muscle paralysis, cardiac arrest.

zloy xaker [14]
 • To describe- Psychology aims to understand the behavior of others and gather information about the way the brain works in order to better serve humanity.By observing different human behaviours, psychologists determine what is normal and healthy and what is unhealthy. Psychology analyzes the thoughts, feelings, actions and goals of people through the help of various case studies, observations and surveys.
 • To Explain- In order to explain a behaviour, psychologists must conduct experiments to ensure that the behaviour is not an anomaly. If there’s only one person (or animal) exhibiting this behavior, it certainly isn’t a cultural norm.
 • To Predict- Based on past observed behavior, a psychologist aims to predict how that behavior will appear again in the future and if other people will exhibit the same behavior.
 • To Control- It meant that teachers could take control of their classroom easier, parents could teach their children to exhibit good behaviour, and manipulative older siblings could control the behaviours of their younger siblings. In other areas of psychology, experiments are used to train new employees faster, increase the success of students and reduce drug addiction.

8. Edible vaccines, a more controversial approach to vaccine development, have been investigated by scientists. Plants can be ge
IceJOKER [234]
After some research I found the important parts mostly bolded

Advantages:

1) Although the technology at first seems like something done for convenience rather than being something of significant utility, the fact is that poorly developed nations like India which have a relatively poor vaccination program are most likely to benefit from such a vaccine.
This is also the reason why many of the projects mentioned here (including Arntzen's early work) have been funded by the WHO.

2) Mucosal immunity : The vaccines which are given parenterally (e.g. Intramuscularly) induce a systemic response but little or no local immune response in the GI tract. This so called "mucosal immunity " is increasingly being considered very important for defense against GI pathogens. ( Remember OPV..)

3) And of course, it's painless and convenient

Disadvantages:

1) The vaccine dose would be inadequate if the patient eats only one banana/potato instead of the recommended two. Furthermore, there might be difficulties in judging the dose itself since the amount of antigen in each fruit cannot be accurately measured.

2) The risk of introducing a new gene into the Plant DNA population is not known. The gene may jump species and propagate into other plants (or wild varieties of the same plants).
This may cause unpredictable results including a decrease in the number or even extinction of a particular plant species due to growth stunting caused by the viral/bacterial gene. (This has been known to occur in research studies, including Arntzen's)

3)"Oral Tolerance": In another concern, scientists need to be sure that vaccines meant to enhance immune responses do not backfire and suppress immunity instead. Research into a phenomenon called oral tolerance has shown that ingesting certain proteins can at times cause the body to shut down its responses to those proteins.
This may cause the body to become more susceptible to a particular disease agent rather than become immunized against it.

If there is resistance to the bvm when ventilating a tracheostomy patient the emt should:_________
Eva8 [605]

If there is resistance to the BVM when ventilating a tracheostomy patient the EMT should check air is escaping through a hole in the lung and filling the pleural space.

What is tracheostomy?

A tracheostomy is a hole made in the front of the neck to allow a tube to be inserted into the windpipe trachea to assist breathing.

The tube can be connected to an oxygen supply and a breathing machine called a ventilator if necessary.

Individuals notice increased resistance to ventilations while ventilating an intubated patient with a bag-valve-mask-unit. This could mean that air is escaping from the lung and filling the pleural space.

Thus, the EMT should check for this.
