This is more of an opinion question. I think you should love yourself, always, and no matter what, to improve your mental and physical health. Also, loving yourself will help you to see how to love others.

No, loving yourself can only benefit you. Some people might say they love someone who loves themselves first, but that's really only for their interest. Loving yourself would on build your self confidence. People can love other people and not themselves.
