The body mass index (BMI) is measure that determines whether an individual is in a healthy weight range. It is calculated as:

BMI = Weight (kg) / Height (m)2

People with BMI under  18.5 kg/m2  are considered underweight.

Normal weight is BMI 18.5 – 25 kg/m2

Overweight: BMI 25 – 30 kg/m2

Obese: BMI > 30 kg/m2
