Reflecting telescopes use mirrors instead of lenses to focus the light. A convex mirror is used to gather light and reflect it back to a focal point. In order to get the light out of the telescope, another mirror is used to direct the light to an eyepiece.

Answer: Option (B), (C) and (D)

Explanation: In a reflecting telescope, concave and convex mirrors are used to focus light, in a tube.

In case of a reflecting telescope, a concave mirror is usually placed at one end of the telescope's tube whereas the other end is kept open from where the light is allowed to pass through. In between this two end of the tube, a comparatively small flat mirror is used, placing it at an angle of approximately 45°, that further reflects the reflected light to the eyepiece containing a convex mirror where a large image is observed.

Thus the above mentioned options (B), (C) and (D) are used in a reflecting telescope.

What happens at the cathode
kondaur [170]

Answer:

At the cathode in an electrolytic cell, ions in the surrounding solution are reduced into atoms, which precipitate or plate out on to the solid cathode. The anode is where oxidation takes place, and the cathode is where reduction takes place. The anode is defined as the electrode where oxidation occurs. The cathode is the electrode where reduction takes place. ... At the cathode, the metal ion in the solution will accept one or more electrons from the cathode, and the ion's oxidation state will reduce to 0. This forms a solid metal that deposits on the cathode.
