• Newton's first law of motion states that an object is said to be at rest until an external force acts on it.
 • Newton's second law of motion states that If a body is acted upon by the unbalanced force, it will accelerate in the direction of the applied force.

Explanation:

 • Firstly the car is in a rest position. It does not experience any movement unless any force act on it. A truck coming in the opposite direction hits the car. This explains Newton's first law of motion " An object is said to be at rest until an external force acts on it." The car will experience a movement because of the external force exerted by the truck.
 • When the truck hits the car, it moves. This is due to the unbalanced force exerted on the car. This explains Newton's second law of motion "If a body is acted upon by the unbalanced force, it will accelerate in the direction of the applied force". The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the external force inversely proportional to its mass.

Newton’s I: The car will continue to rest until the moment of impact and there will be no change n acceleration until the truck hits the car.

Newton’s II: The incident’s impact will depend on the masses of the two bodies. The truck will not come to an immediate stop as its body mass is greater than that of a car. However, it may slow down and the direction of its motion will change based on the impact angle. The car will begin to move when hit by the truck.

Explanation:

Law1:

Any object that is at rest remains at rest and an object that is in motion will continue to be in motion.

Law2:

The acceleration of any object is reliant on two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of that object.

A 9V battery produces a 1.5A current in a piece of wire. What is the resistance of the wire?
MAVERICK [17]

Explanation:

Using Ohm's Law and a bit of substitution, we can use voltage divided by current to solve for resistance. Doing that, we'll get 6 Ohm.

On a day when the temperature reaches 50°F, the temperature in degrees Celsius is: 20°C
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

10°C

Explanation:

To convert °F to °C, we use the formula:

°C = (°F - 32) * ( 5/9)

So, to convert 50°F to the equivalent in °C, we can proceed as follows:

°C = ( 50 - 32 ) * (5/9)

°C = ( 18 ) * (5/9), which is, approximately,

°C = 9.999999999... ≈ 10 (5/9 ≈0.555555...)

So, 50°F is equivalent to 10°C.

It is your parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary and you thought it would be special to throw them a surprise party. Your entire fam
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

120 miles per hour.

Explanation:

We need to find the time it takes my parents to drive home from the cottage. Since my father drives at 60 miles per hour, and the cottage is 240 miles from our home, and distance = speed × time. So, time = distance/speed = 240 mi/60 mi/h = 4 h.

So, it will take my father 4 hours to drive home from the cottage.

Since I have 2 hours to prepare for the party, the time left for me to drive to the cottage is 4 - 2 hrs = 2 hrs.

So, I'm supposed to drive to the cottage in at most 2 hours.

The speed at which I must drive in this time period is thus, speed = distance/time = 240 miles/2 hours = 120 miles per hour.

So, I must drive at a minimum speed of 120 miles per hour.
