That is impossible.

For a number to be divisible by 23, it has to be greater than 23.

A number cannot be greater than 23, if you have restricted it to be within the numbers 2 and 10.

En red socks and ten blue socks are all mixed up in a dresser drawer. The 20 socks are exactly alike except for their colour. Th
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

3 socks

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that, there are 10 red socks and 10 blue socks which are mixed up in the dresser drawer.

The socks are identical except the color.

We need to find out, the minimum number of socks to be taken out from the dark room so that there is at least a pair of matching socks comes out of the drawer.

Let us consider the cases:

First Two socks pulled out of the drawer.

Case 1: Both are red or both are blue.

In this case, the matching pair is ready.

But there can be other case as well.

Case 2:

One red and one blue color taken out.

Now, when we pull the third, there will be either red or blue.

That will make a pair.

Therefore, to cover up all the cases and to be certain to get a matching pair out of the drawer, at least 3 socks must be taken out.

So, the answer is:

We need to take out at least 3 socks.

James wants to promote his band on the internet. Site A offers website hosting for $4.95 per month with a $49.95 startup fee. Si
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

Part 1) see the procedure

Part 2) 4.95x+49.95 < 9.95 x

Part 3) x > 9.99\ months

Part 4) The minimum number of months, that he needs to keep the website for site A to be less expensive than site B is 10 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) Define a variable for the situation.

Let

x ------> the number of months

y ----> the total cost monthly for website hosting

Part 2) Write an inequality that represents the situation.

we know that

Site A

y=4.95x+49.95

Site B

y=9.95x

The inequality that represent this situation is

4.95x+49.95 < 9.95 x

Part 3) Solve the inequality to find out how many months he needs to keep the website for Site A to be less expensive than Site B

4.95x+49.95 < 9.95 x

Subtract 4.95x both sides

4.95x+49.95-4.95x < 9.95 x-4.95x

49.95 < 5x

Divide by 5 both sides

49.95/5 < 5x/5

9.99 < x

Rewrite

x > 9.99\ months

Part 4) describe how many months he needs to keep the website for Site A to be less expensive than Site B.

The minimum number of months, that he needs to keep the website for site A to be less expensive than site B is 10 months

1. X + 250 = 700
deff fn [24]

Answer:

1. 450

2. 8(12)+3(2.50)

3. 10

4. 32

Step-by-step explanation:

1. 700-250=450

2. 8 people going to the theater. If tickets cost $12 each, you multiply 8 by 12 to get the ticket cost. If 3 people ordered drinks and drinks cost $2.50, you multiply 3 by 2.50 to get the drink cost. Since this is asking for the total cost you add your first 2 answers to get the final cost.

3. 12/3=4, which means one pound costs $4. To find the amount bought with $40, divide 40 by 4, which equals 10 pounds.

4. To find percents, you turn your percentage into a decimal by dividing by 100. (400/100=4), then you multiply that by the number you are trying to find a percentage of(8x4=32). This gives you the answer 32.
