HCO is not a compound, it is H₂CO

In this structure, we draw two Hydrogen atoms to the left of Carbon, one above the other. Then we connect them to Carbon with single lines, showing their bonds.

Next, we draw the Oxygen atom to the right of Carbon and join the two atoms using a double line, showing their double bond.

Finally, we add two pairs of two dots to the Oxygen atom, showing its two lone pairs.

Which of the following is an Arrhenius acid? A) H2SO4 B) LIOH C)NH2CH3 D) CH3CH3
levacccp [35]

Answer:

Option a, H_2SO_4

Explanation:

According to Arrhenius concept of acids and bases, acids are those substances which releases H+ in aqueous solution and bases are those which releases OH- in aqueous solution.

Among the given only H_2SO_4 can release H^+ in aqueous solution.

H_2SO_4 \rightarrow 2H^{+} + SO_4^{2-}

LiOH releases OH^-, therefore it is an Arrhenius base.

NH_2CH_3 and CH_3CH_3 cannot releases H^+.

So, the correct option is option a.

Compare gases with liquids and solids according to the kinetic molecular theory
ella [17]
Solids have molecules that are held tightly together in close bonds. (positive bonded to a negative) They can bend or vibrate but still stay bonded together closely. Solids have very little kinetic energy.

Liquids have molecules that are held in looser bonds. They move more freely and more randomly that in a solid. It is common for the bonds to be flexible enough to slide over each other.

Gasses have the loosest bond of any state of matter. The loose bonds allow the molecules to move freely and far apart. A gas has the greatest kinetic energy of any state of matter,
