Solve the system to answer the questions. How many premium car washes were ordered? premium car washes How many quick car washes
puteri [66]

From the equation given, there'll be 50 premium car washes and 75 quick car washes.

  • Let x = Number of quick car washes.
  • Let y = Number of premium car washes.

The equation given is:

x + y = 125 ..... i

5x + 8y = 775 ..... ii

From equation i,

x = 125 - y .... iii

Since 5x + 8y = 775

5(125 - y) + 8y = 775

625 - 5y + 8y = 775

3y = 775 - 625

3y = 150

y = 150/3

y = 50.

Since x = 125 - y.

x = 125 - 50.

x = 75
