Both of these problems use the ideal gas law. pV=nRT. p = pressure in atm, V = volume in L, n = number of mols of gas, R = gas constant (0.08206) and T = temperature in kelvins.
#13)  1(atm)*10L = n(0.08206)(298) n = 0.4089 mols.
the molar mass of methane is roughly 16 g/mol and therefore 16*0.4089 = 6.5g.

Carbon monoxide reacts with oxygen to form carbon dioxide by the following reaction: 2 CO(g) + O2(g) → 2 CO2(g) ∆H for this reac
klio [65]

Answer:

Heat released =811.68kcal

Explanation:

2 CO(g) + O2(g) → 2 CO2(g)                 ΔH=-135.28kcal

for this type of question 1st balance the chemical reaction and use unitry method.

From the above balanced equaion it is clearly that,

2 mole of CO reacts with 1 mole of O2 and we have sufficient amount of oxygen means excess amount.

and also for complete consumption of 2 mole of CO, ΔH=-135.28 kcal

for complete consumption of 12 moles of CO2 ΔH=6\times (-135.28kcal)

Heat released =811.68kcal

Cu + 2H2SO4  ⟶ CuSO4 + SO2 + 2H20

In left hand side of the equation.

Cu = 1 atom

H = 4 atoms

S = 2 atoms

O = 8 atoms

In right hand side of the equation.

Cu = 1 atom

S = 2 atoms

0 = 8 atoms

H = 4 atoms

• All the atoms are balanced in the left and right side of the equation and it satisfies the law of conservation of mass.

• Equation is balanced and correct.
