Answer:

HYDROGEN GAS

Explanation:

#All the alkali metals react vigorously with cold water.

#In each reaction, hydrogen gas is given off and the metal hydroxide is produced.

#The speed and violence of the reaction increases as you go down the group.

#This shows that the reactivity of the alkali metals increases as you go down Group 1.

Does a wire connected to a dc source, such as a battery, emit an electromagnetic wave?
Lina20 [59]

The wire connected to the DC source doesn't emit electromagnetic waves.

The electromagnetic wave is an oscillation of electric fields and magnets field that sustains each other, this wave time has the characteristics that it can travel without a material medium, for which they are of extreme importance.

It is caused by DC sources such as batteries only having a constant voltage, it is different from AC sources which have different voltage over time, AC voltage can induce the wire because AC sources have magnetic flux change. DC sources don't have magnetic flux change so they don't emit electromagnetic waves.

\Parts of a device that use radio waves. On the left is a box labeled A. On the right is a box labeled B. There is a vector poin
Elodia [21]

The radio waves travels between the two boxes and they were travelling through air,

  • Box B captures, amplifies and demodulates radio waves.
  • Box A modulates, amplifies and send out radio waves.

What are radio waves?

  • Radio waves are the type of radiation from the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • The radio waves can be used in communication technologies like computer, phones, radios , etc..
  • Radio waves have lower frequencies but longer wavelength.
  • These devices will get signal and then it transmit as mechanical waves through sound.

In that way, the radio waves from box A to B through air, the box A will gets the signal, and then modulates, amplifies and then it send out radio waves. Through the air, Box B will captures, amplifies and demodulates radio waves.

A baseball is hit so that it travels straight upward after being struck by the bat. A fan observes that it takes 2.90 seconds fo
Natasha_Volkova [10]
We'll assume that the whole scene takes place on Earth.
So the acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s² downward.

a). Gravity makes anything fall 9.8 m/s faster every second.
That's the same thing as rising 9.8 m/s slower every second.

If it takes 2.9 seconds to reach its maximum height, then
it must have started out rising at (9.8 x 2.9) = 28.4 m/s.

b). The ball left the bat at 28.4 m/s.
After 2.9 seconds, its speed was zero. (That's why it started falling.)
It's average speed during the climb was

                 1/2 (28.4 + 0) = 14.2 m/s .

It rose straight up at an average speed of 14.2 m/s for 2.9 seconds,
so it reached a maximum height of

                 (14.2 x 2.9) = 41.2 meters .

QveST [7]

We have thatThe options that define Speed, Velocity,Acceleration.

  • Speed is used to describe how fast the object is moving.
  • Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity in time.
  • Velocity is used to describe how fast the object is moving and tells us in which direction it is going.

From the question we are told

Choose the correct definitions of speed, velocity, and acceleration. Check all that apply.

  • Acceleration tells us in which direction the object is going. Speed is the rate of change of velocity in time.
  • Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity in time.
  • Velocity is used to describe changes in the movement direction of the object. Acceleration tells us how far the object will go in a certain amount of time.
  • Velocity is used to describe how fast the object is moving and tells us in which direction it is going.
  • Speed is used to describe how fast the object is moving.
  • Velocity is the rate of change of speed in time.

Speed is used to describe how fast the object is moving and tells us in which direction it is going.

Generally

  • Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity in time.
  • Velocity is used to describe how fast the object is moving and tells us in which direction it is going.
  • Speed is used to describe how fast the object is moving without its direction in consideration

Hence

The options that define Speed, Velocity,Acceleration.

  • Speed is used to describe how fast the object is moving.
  • Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity in time.
  • Velocity is used to describe how fast the object is moving and tells us in which direction it is going.
