Answer-

The rider’s displacement during this time is 17.01 m

Solution-

As we know,

s= ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2}

Where s = displacement,

           u= initial velocity = 0, as the rider starts from rest

           a= acceleration = 0.5 m/s²

           t= time taken = 8.4 s

Putting the values,

s = (0)(8.4) + \frac{1}{2} (0.5)(8.4)^{2} = 17.64 \ m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a=0.50

t=8.4s

initial velocity=0

0+1/2*0.50*8.4^2=17.64m

17.6

Match The exponential expression on the left with the equivalent simplified expression on the right?
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Image for the above Question is Missing hence Attached below.

y^{2}y^{4}           ⇒ y^{6}

(2y)^{2}               ⇒ 4y^{2}

(\dfrac{y}{4})^{2}  ⇒\dfrac{y^{2}}{16}

2((y)^{3})^{3}        ⇒ 2y^{9}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have Law of Indices as follow

1.  x^{a}x^{b}=x^{a+b}

2. (xy)^{a}=x^{a}y^{a}

3. (\dfrac{x}{y})^{a}=\dfrac{x^{a}}{y^{a}}

4. ((x)^{a})^{b}=x^{a\times b}

Using above identities we get

For First

y^{2}y^{4}=y^{2+4}=y^{4}

Therefore y^{2}y^{4}   ⇒ y^{6}

For Second

(2y)^{2}=2^{2}y^{2}=4y^{2}

Therefore (2y)^{2}   ⇒ 4y^{2}

For Third

(\dfrac{y}{4})^{2}=\dfrac{y^{2}}{4^{2}}=\dfrac{y^{2}}{16}

Therefore (\dfrac{y}{4})^{2}  ⇒\dfrac{y^{2}}{16}

For Fourth

2((y)^{3})^{3}=2y^{3\times 3}=2y^{9}

Therefore 2((y)^{3})^{3}   ⇒ 2y^{9}

The solving of the fractions simply shows that the value of 1 2/3 + 3 1/2 is 5 1/6.

<h3>How to solve the fraction?</h3>

The first fraction give is:

= 1 2/3 + 3 1/2

= 1 4/6 + 3 3/6

= 4 7/6

= 4 + 1 1/6

= 5 1/6

Also 3/4 - 5/7 will be:

= 3/4 - 5/7

= 21/28 - 20/28

= 1/8

It should be noted that when solving fractions, it's important to have a common denominator.

3(2x + 5)= 4 (c-3) I know how to solve it but can someone explain it.
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

3x×2c+1

Step-by-step explanation:

6x+15 =4c-12

\frac{6x + 15}{4c - 12}  =  \frac{4c - 12}{4c - 12}

\frac{6x + 15}{4c - 12}

\frac{3x  + 5}{2c - 4}

3x + 5 \div 2c - 4

3x  \times 2c + 5 - 4

3x \times 2c + 1
