A solution of sucrose in water is 48.5% sucrose by mass and has a density of 1.118 g/ml. what mass of sucrose, in grams, is cont
telo118 [61]
To determine the mass of sucrose from a given volume of solution, we need to convert the volume into mass by using the density of the solution. We calculate as follows:

mass solution = 3.50 ( 1118 ) = 3913 g

mass of sucrose = 3913 g solution ( .485 g sucrose / g solution ) = 1897.805 g sucrose is present in the solution.

Many of water's emergent properties, such as its cohesion, its high specific heat, and its high heat of vaporization, result fro
yarga [219]

Answer:

E) are electrically attracted to each other

Explanation:

Water molecule is polar because there is a difference in electronegativity values between hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen side of the molecule has a slight positive charge and the oxygen side is slightly negatively.

Positively and negatively charged ends cause water molecules to attract one another and for this reason water shows the properties mentioned in the question: cohesion, high specific heat, and high heat of vaporization.

Calculate the lattice energy for NaF (s) given the following
san4es73 [151]

Answer: E

Explanation:

The lattice energy is the energy change when one mole of a crystal is formed from its components ions in its gaseous sate

Therefore lattice energy = heat of Sublimation+ ionization energy +electron affinity-(heat of formation)

Therefore lattice Energy =     109 +495 -328 +570.

Lattice energy = --923kjmol-1

Use the image above and describe the
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

If you see in the image above, there is an unbalance force applied while playing tug of war. Since it is 1 vs 2, there is a greater net force in the right side then the left side. If it was 2 vs 2 or 1 vs 1, then they are appling balance force. You can also see in the picture that the arrows are pointing outwards (--->) rather then inwards (<---) because you are pulling the rope not pushing the rope. If you add one person on the left side, then the newtons which is 20N will become to 35N and will be balanced, but since there in only 1 person, there is less force on the left side, the newtons gets subtracted having only 20N. Since you are pulling the rope, the friction is opposite (<---). Since you are pulling the rope, you are using Kinetic force and the rope stays in potential force since it stays constant.

Hope this helps, thank you :) and I am not sure about magnitude I think you can that since there is greater force on the right side, there is more magnitude there.
