well first you should work on the rectangle so since that is l x w

You would do 12*18 which would be 216

so now you got the area of the rectangle now since we know the base and height of the triangle you would do 7*18*1/2 which would be 28

so now you add 216 and 28 which would be 244 which would be your answer

hope this helps

P.S the base of the triangle is the width of the rectangle in this problem

Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

The measure of the largest interior angle is 87.5^{o}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given one of the interior angles of the triangle =  40°. Let the other interior angles be represented by b and c.

Sum of angles in a triangle is 180^{o}.

So that;

b + c +  40° = 180^{o}

b + c = 180^{o} - 40°

b + c = 140^{o}

But, b and c are in the ratio 3:5

Thus,

b = \frac{3}{8} x 140^{o}

  = 52.5^{o}

b = 52.5^{o}

c = \frac{5}{8} x 140^{o}

  = 87.5^{o}

c = 87.5^{o}

Check:

52.5^{o} + 87.5^{o} = 140^{o}

The measure of the largest interior angle is 87.5^{o}.

asambeis [7]

The walls are vertical so the angle opposite X would be a right angle which is 90 degrees.

X would be 180 - 90 - 35 = 55 degrees

X and 2y - 5 are complementary angles which add together to equal 90:

2y - 5 + 55 = 90

Simplify:

2y +50 = 90

Subtract 50 from both sides:

2y = 40

Divide both sides by 2:

y = 20

200 +6m = 500-6m

add 6m to each side

200+12m = 500

subtract 200 from each side

12m = 300

divide both sides by 12

m = 300/12 = 25

200+ 25*6 = 200 +150 = 350

500 - 25*6 = 500-150 = 350
