How to solve 7-10: if a coordinate (x, y) is on the line, then f(x) = y.

7. Since x is 6, look at the graph, which shows that y (or f(x)) is 4. (look at picture)

8. Same thing as 7. you will see that f(x) is 15.

9. The other way around. since we know y = 2, looking at the graph shows us that x = 3.

10. Repeat process of 9. x = 10.

How to solve 11 + 12: slope formula (rise-over-run)

11. (14-4)/(12-6) = 10/6 = 5/3.

12. (16-14)/(18-12) = 2/6 = 1/3.

(If possible brainliest is appreciated :D)

Suppose Adam wants to have $750,000 in his IRA at the end of 30 years. He decides to invest in an annuity paying 6% interest, co
OLga [1]

Answer:

  $9486.68

Step-by-step explanation:

The future value of a annuity formula can be used:

  FV = P((1+r)^n -1)/r

  750000 = P(1.06^30 -1)/0.06

  P = 750000(.06)/(1.06^30 -1) = 9486.68

Adam has to contribute $9,486.68 each year to reach his goal.

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 26 mm. One leg of the right triangle is 10 mm. What is the length of the other leg? (4 poi
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

24 mm

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it is a right triangle, we can use Pythagorean theorem

a^2+b^2=c^2

where a and b are the legs, and c is the hypotenuse.

We know one of the legs is 10, and the hypotenuse is 26, so we can substitute 10 in for a, and 26 in for c.

10^2+b^2=26^2

Solve the exponents

100+b^2=676

Now, solve for b. To do this, get b by itself.

First, subtract 100 from both sides

100-100+b^2=676-100

b^2=576

Take the square root of both sides

\sqrt{b^2}=\sqrt{576}

b=24

So, the other leg is 24 mm

Most plumbing companies charge a fee to come to your house plus a charge per hour of work. The fees and charges for two plumbing
lord [1]

Answer:

Company A: y=40x+50

Company B: y=50x+25

Step-by-step explanation:

The initial fee is the y-intercept, as that is the cost at x = 0, or the cost before any time has passed. Afterwards, the rate the cost increases is the slope.

Linear equation in slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Company A charges $50 up front and $40 per hour afterwards, so the equation would be:

y=40x+50

Company B charges $25 up front and $50 per hour, so:

y=50x+25
