Hello! I have a question and I ask if you can make it a bit detailed. I am struggling to understand the Calvin Cycle in the proc
igomit [66]

Absolutely! The Calvin Cycle is a process that takes place within the stroma of chloroplasts during photosynthesis. This cycle is a light-independent reaction because it does not need sunlight to fully develop. The process is, however, dependent on ATP and NADHP from those light reactions.

If you want a really good study guide for the Calvin Cycle, just follow this link; it helps A LOT!

Why is it beneficial to use textiles made from synthetic fibers
mestny [16]
Synthetic fabrics are textiles made from man-made fibers rather than natural fibers. Chemically produced fabrics are made by joining monomers into polymers, through a process called polymerization. A synthetic fabric, when magnified, looks like plastic spun together.

Natural fabrics, such as cotton, silk, and wool, are made from animals or plant based fibers. While synthetic are man made and produced entirely from chemicals to create fabrics. such as polyester, rayon, acrylic, and more. The benefits of using textiles made from synthetic fibers is that it saves the animals and plants that the fibers are based off of.

Hope this helped :)

During which phase of meiosis does each of the following events occur?
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

(a) crossing over: Meiosis I, Recombination

(b) chromatids separate at their centromeres and migrate to opposite poles: Meiosis II, Anaphase II

(c) chromosomes become aligned in pairs at the equator: Meiosis II, Metaphase II

Explanation:

Homologous recombination is a type of genetic recombination that occurs during meiosis (formation of ovum and sperm cells). The paired chromosomes of the male and female parents are aligned so that similar DNA sequences intersect. This crossing over produces an exchange of genetic material, which is an important cause of the genetic variability observed in the offspring.

Meiosis II: Anaphase II. The centromeres separate and the daughter chromatids - now individual chromosomes - move to the opposite poles of the cell. The centromeres separate, and the two chromatids of each chromosome move toward the opposite poles in the spindle.

Meiosis II: Metaphase II. Chromosomes are accommodated in the equatorial plate of metaphase, similar to what happens in mitosis. They are attached to the already fully formed meiotic spindle. Each chromosome is aligned in the equatorial plate of the metaphase, as it happens in mitosis.

How does soil structure affect the characteristics of soil?
Sloan [31]
Soil structure is important becuse it does affect the characteristic of soil.
this is how particles are arrange in different type of soil
Sand soil:particles are very loose,it does not rentent water or nutrients, lack humus
clay soil:very packed particles, becomes water logg, rich in nutrient and humus.but is not aerated
Loamy soil is not packed in particles but is kind of in between

A student plans to measure the circumference of a balloon at various temperatures to determine how temperature affects the volum
nignag [31]
I think the independent variable is the temperature, while the dependent variable is the size of the balloon. The factor that is held constant is the amount of air in the balloon. An identical balloon kept at the original temperature. Independent variable in an experiment is the variable that the experiment plans to change while the dependent variable is the variable whose value depends on the independent variable.
