Answer:

5 ounces of solution are left in the bottle.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of the staining solution, s = 30 oz

Volume required for the blood staining test = \frac{3}{4} of solution

=\frac{3}{4}\times 30 = 22.5 oz

Volume required for blood tests = \frac{1}{2}oz=0.5 oz

Number of blood staining tests run = 1

Volume of solution required in 1  blood staining test ,x= 22.5 oz × 1 = 22.5 oz

Number of blood test run = 5

Volume of solution required in 5 blood test ,y= 0.5 oz × 5 = 2.5 oz

Volume of staining solution left : s - x- y

= 30 oz - 22.5 oz - 2.5 oz = 5 oz

5 ounces of solution are left in the bottle.

The radius of a circle is 18 yards. What is the circle's area?<br> Use 3.14 for .
IrinaVladis [17]

Solution:

<u>We know that:</u>

  • Radius: 18 yards
  • πr² = Area of circle
  • π = 3.14

<u>Finding the area of the circle:</u>

  • (π)(r²) = Area of circle
  • => (3.14)(18²) = Area of circle
  • => (3.14)(324) = Area of circle
  • => Area of circle = 3.14 x 324 = 1017.36 yards²
