The correct answer is A, because when you are trying to find the standard notion always begin from the decimal then count the number of powers

I think the answer is D because you have to move the decimal three times anyway, then you only need to add seven more zeroes to make it correct (in my opinion).

7(6+d)=49 Solve for d.<br><br> A:d=7<br> B:d=-1<br> C:d=-7<br> D:d=1
Elan Coil [88]

Answer: d = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

First distribute the 7 to each term of (6 + d) = 42 + 7d = 49 now subtract 42 from both sides which = 7d = 7. Divide by 7 = 7d/7 = 7/7 = d = 1

How do u solve 50=pi*2(h+3)
lakkis [162]

\bf 50=\pi 2(h+3)\implies 50=\stackrel{\textit{distributing first}}{2\pi h+6\pi }\implies 50-6\pi =2\pi h \\\\\\ \cfrac{50-6\pi }{2\pi }=h\implies 4.957747154594767 \approx h

The strength of a cable is proportional to the square of its diameter. If a 2-cm cable will support 800kg, how much will a 3-cm
xz_007 [3.2K]
Strength [is proportional to] d^2
strength1/(d1)^2 = strength2/(d2)^2
800kg/(2cm)^2 = strength2/(3cm)^2
strength2 = 800 kg * (3 cm)^2/(2 cm)^2
strength2 = 800 kg * 3^2/2^2
strength2 = 800 kg * 9/4
strength2 = 1800 kg
