Americans were gravely affected by the effects of War which has caused their emotions to vote for a president who will take them out of this situation. Reagan won this election because he promised people that he will do something about unemployment and the increasing rate of inflation. He is known to be the first man to have gotten the most votes during an electoral race in the US history.
