First, the man should take the goat to the other side. Then he should come back to get the cabbage. When he gets the cabbage to the other side, he should bring back the goat. When he brings the goat back, he should switch it with the wolf. Then he should bring the wolf to the other end with the cabbage and come back empty handed. Now he just needs to bring the goat to the other side.
