Suppose a cylindrical habitat in space 6.80 km in diameter and 24 km long has been proposed. Such a habitat would have cities, l

and, and lakes on the inside surface and air and clouds in the center. This would all be held in place by rotation of the cylinder about its long axis. How fast would the cylinder have to rotate to imitate the Earth's gravitational field at the walls of the cylinder? Answer in rad/s.

a=v^2/r. This is the centripetal acceleration for object moving in circle. In order to imitate the earths gravitational acceleration, plug in 9.8 for a. Then plug in the radius of the cylinder and solve for v.

What are the condition required for reverberation?
Luda [366]

Answer:

Reverberation is created when a sound produced in a sapce is reflected off surfaces, like walls, teh floor or the ceiling. ... The time it takes for this sound in the space to decrease in volume down to 60 decibels (practically silence) after the sound source is extinguished is its reverberation time.

The heat capacity of nickel is 0.444 J/(g · °C). Calculate the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of 18 g of nickel
azamat

The final speed of the nickel at the given quantity of heat is determined as 202.1 m/s.

Final speed of the nickel

Apply the principle of conservation of energy.

Q = mcΔθ

Q = (18)(0.444)(66 - 20)

Q = 367.63 J

Q = K.E = ¹/₂mv²

2K.E = mv²

v = √(2K.E/m)

where;

 • v is the final speed

v = √(2 x 367.63)/(0.018))

v = 202.1 m/s

What is an example of a negative incentive for producers
Hatshy [7]

An example of a negative incentive for producers is the sharp increase in production costs. Producers are the one who manage the production costs and even the production budget. Anything that relates the production department is entitled to the management of production producers.

There is what we called positive and negative incentives and both of these can affect consumers and producers. Positive incentives are those situations which will give a certain outcome that will benefit the producers, for example, during the peak season there will be a high demand of products, and this gives the chance of producers to demand a higher price from the consumers, in this situation, there will be a big chance of increase sales. A sharp increase in production costs is a loss for the producers. If there will be an increase in production costs, the budget will be greatly affective and even though it is not a peak season, there’s a big chance also to increase prices which we know, consumers are not fond of.
