Answer:

B. PP×PP, PP×Pp, or PP x pp

Explanation:

The allele for the purple flower (P) is dominant over the one for the white flowers (p). To be a purple-flowered plant, the progeny must have homozygous dominant (PP) or heterozygous dominant (Pp). A cross between two homozygous dominant purple-flowered parents (PP x PP) would produce all the homozygous dominant progeny (PP) having purple flowers.

A cross between a homozygous dominant (PP) and a heterozygous dominant (Pp) parent plant would produce homozygous and heterozygous dominant progeny in a 1:1 ratio (PP x Pp = 1 PP: 1 Pp). Similarly, a cross between a homozygous dominant (PP) and homozygous recessive (pp) parent plant would produce all heterozygous dominant (Pp) progeny with purple flowers.

What is cell biology
Anna [14]

Answer:

Cell biology (also cellular biology or cytology) is a branch of biology that studies the structure, function and behavior of cells. Cell biology encompasses both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and can be divided into many sub-topics which may include the study of cell metabolism, cell communication, cell cycle, biochemistry, and cell composition. The study of cells is performed using several techniques such as cell culture, various types of microscopy, and cell fractionation. These have allowed for and are currently being used for discoveries and research pertaining to how cells function, ultimately giving insight into understanding larger organisms. Knowing the components of cells and how cells work is fundamental to all biological sciences while also being essential for research in biomedical fields such as cancer, and other diseases. Research in cell biology is interconnected to other fields such as genetics, molecular genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, medical microbiology, immunology, and cytochemistry.

Why do plants have a cell wall and animals cells don’t?
algol [13]
Cell walls are supporting structures that help the plant to have a fixed shape and protect it from injury. Other than that, it helps to keep the plant turgid so that it can stay firm and upright. Because when it enters a high water potential solution, as water moves in, the water exerts turgor pressure on the cell wall and the cell wall thus exerts an opposing pressure to keep water out. Hence cell wall is needed for the plant.

On the other hand, animal cells do not need to keep the structures, as they have the skeletal system to protect the organs and cushion them against any
external injuries.

I hope that helped

What happens when a stationary front passes?
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

_________

Explanation:

Because a stationary front marks the boundary between two air masses, there are often differences in air temperature and wind on opposite sides of it. The weather is often cloudy along a stationary front, and rain or snow often falls, especially if the front is in an area of low atmospheric pressure.

Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

A key feature of animal body plans is that they can show multiple types of symmetry. For example,,a dog would represent bilateral symmetry, while a jellyfish and other cnidarians would represent <u><em>radial symmetry</em></u>.

Explanation:

In biology, symmetry can be described as the balanced distribution of the body shape of an organism.

Radial symmetry can be described as a symmetry which depends on a central axis. The symmetry of cnidarians depends on a central axis hence they have radial symmetry.

Bilateral symmetry can be described as a symmetry in which the two halves of the symmetry are mirror images of one another. For example, humans, dogs etc.
