The only real difference between historical time and a quantity of time is that historical time begins and ends at a specific point, such as a year, while quantity of time is irrelevant of a beginning.

Star formation begins when
Anvisha [2.4K]
A star is formed from a Nebula (plural: nebulae). It is a cloud of dust and gas in Space. Some stars are formed at the same place where the previous star died. For example, a star explodes in supernova (such as supernova of Crab Nebula), the gasses and dust from the explosion remain behind that led to the birth of a new star.

Two solid discs are liked with a belt. The
irakobra [83]

Answer:

ω₂ = 13.09 rad/s

Explanation:

given,

small disk rotating speed = 500 rpm

radius of small disk = R

radius of larger disk = 2 R

rotational speed of larger disk = ?

using the law of conservation of angular momentum, we get

I₁ ω₁ = I₂ ω₂

moment of inertia for solid disk

I = \dfrac{1}{2}MR^2

now,

(\dfrac{1}{2}MR_1^2)\omega_1=(\dfrac{1}{2}MR_2^2)\omega_2

(\dfrac{1}{2}MR^2)\omega_1=(\dfrac{1}{2}M(2R)^2)\omega_2

R^2\times \omega_1= 4 R^2\times \omega_2

\omega_2=\dfrac{\omega_1}{4}

\omega_2=\dfrac{500}{4}

   ω₂ = 125 rpm

and

\omega_2=125\times \dfrac{2\pi}{60}

   ω₂ = 13.09 rad/s

the rotational speed of larger disc is equal to ω₂ = 13.09 rad/s

A car slows down from 21 m/s to rest in a distance of 63m. Assuming the car has a constant acceleration, calculate the time it t
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

-3.5 m/s²

Explanation:

  • Initial Velocity = 21m /s
  • Final velocity = 0m/s
  • Distance = 63 m .
  • Acclⁿ = ?

<u>We </u><u>know</u><u> </u><u>that</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u><u> </u>

\longrightarrow Stopping distance = u²/2(-a)

\longrightarrow 63m = (21m/s)² / -2a

\longrightarrow a = - 21 * 21 / 63 * 2 m/s²

\longrightarrow a = - 3.5 m/s²

A light beam is directed parallel to the axis of a hollow cylindrical tube. When the tube contains only air, the light takes 8.7
mylen [45]

Answer:

1.208

Explanation:

L = Length of tube

c = Speed of light in air

v = Speed of light in jelly

Time taken by light in tube

\dfrac{L}{c}=8.72

Time taken when jelly is present

\dfrac{L}{v}=8.72+1.82\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{L}{v}=10.54\ ns

Dividing the above equations we get

\dfrac{v}{c}=\dfrac{8.72}{10.54}\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{c}{v}=\dfrac{10.54}{8.72}\\\Rightarrow n=1.208

The refractive index of the jelly is 1.208
