Two computers take 30 seconds, so the time for both computers is 1/30 per second.

One computer takes 50 seconds so it is 1/50 per second.

2nd computer would be the speed of both computers minus the speed of the first computer: 1/30 - 1/50

Find common denominator: 30 *50 = 150
1/30 = 5/150
1/50 = 3/150

Subtract: 5/150 - 3/150 = 2/150 = 1/75

It would take the second computer 75 seconds

Gelneren [198K]

Answer: 24

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of sandcastles to kites was 3 to 5 so if 15 kites were spotted that meant that the 5 was multiplied by 3 so then we multiply the 3 by 3. Now there are 9 sandcastles and 15 kites so now we add 9 to 15 to figure out how many items were seen in all. Nine added to 15 equals 24 which means that 24 items were seen in total.
