7) Use distributive property
3x(4x⁴ - 5x)=3x*4x⁴- 3x*5x = 12x⁵ - 15x²
8) When you open parenthesis with minus sigh in front of it, you need change sings of the terms on opposite. Then find like terms.
(5x⁴-3x³+6x)-(3x³+11x²-8x)= 5x⁴-3x³+6x -3x³-11x²+8x =5x⁴-6x³ - 11x²+14x
9)(x-2)(3x-4)=x*3x-4x-6x+8=3x²-10x+8
10) (x+6)²=(x+6)(x+6)=x²+6x+6x+36=x²+12x+36
For (x+6)², you can also use the formula of the perfect square
(a+b)²=a²+2ab+b²
For (x+6)² =x²+2*x*6 +6²=x²+12x+36

From the airport hanger H, an areoplane A is 18km away on the bearing of 115° while another aeroplane B is 29km away on a bearin
maks197457 [2]

The difference in distance between Aero plane A and B is; 34.67 km

How to calculate bearing?

To get the bearing;

∠H = (115 - 90) + (270 - 203)

∠H = 92°

Then, we will use cosine rule to get the distance between both Planes A and B.

d_ab = √(18² + 29² - 2(18 * 29) * cos 92)

d_ab = √(324 + 841 + 36.435)

d_ab = 34.67 km

A bag of potatoes weights 30 lb. If 74% of a potato is water, how many pounds of water are there in the bag?
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer: There are 22.2 pounds of water in the bag.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we simply have to multiply the total weight of the bag by the water percentage in decimal form (divided by 100).

Mathematically speaking:

30 x (74/100) = 30 x 0.74 =22.2 pounds

There are 22.2 pounds of water in the bag.

Look at the figure shown below:
kow [346]

Answer: b) two sides and the included angle are congruent

Step-by-step explanation:

  RS = QS SIDES are congruent

∠PSR ≡ ∠PSQ         ANGLES are congruent

PS = PS SIDES are congruent

ΔPSR ≡ ΔPSQ by the Side-Angle-Side (SAS) Congruency Theorem

Since we know the triangles are congruent, we can state that their parts are congruent:

Congruent-Parts of-Congruent-Triangles are-Congruent (CPCTC)
