Wave speed = frequency * wavelength

We need to rearrange this equation because we are finding the wavelength :

Wavelength = wave speed / frequency

To rearrange it, I just divided it by frequency so that wavelength was the subject.

Now, input these numbers into this equation :
Wavelength = wave speed / frequency
Wavelength = 25 / 5
Wavelength = 5m

One end of a 13-foot-long ladder is resting on the top of a vertical wall. The distance from the foot of the ladder to the base
Digiron [165]

Answer:

Height of wall is 12 ft.

Explanation:

In the shown figure, AB denotes the height of the wall, BC denotes the distance between foot of the ladder and wall and AC denotes the length of the ladder.

Let h be the height of wall. By Pythagoras Theorem,

(AB)² + (BC)² = (AC)²

According to the problem, AC = 13 ft, AB = h ft and BC = (h - 7) ft:

h² + (h-7)² = (13)²

h² + h² + 49 - 14h = 169

2h² - 14h - 120 = 0

h² - 7h - 60 = 0

By mid-term splitting,

h² - 12h + 5h - 120 = 0

h(h - 12) + 5(h - 12) = 0

(h - 12) x (h + 5) = 0

h = 12 ft or h = -5 ft

Since, height of wall cannot be negative. Hence, the height of wall is 12 ft.

A pickup truck has a width of 79.0 in. If it is traveling north at 42 m/s through a magnetic field with vertical component of
bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

The magnitude of the induced Emf is 0.003371V

Explanation:

The width of the truck is given as 79inch but we need to convert to meter for consistency, then

The width= 79inch × 0.0254=2.0066 metres.

Now we can calculate the induced Emf using expresion below;

Then the induced EMF= B L v

Where B= magnetic field component

L= width

V= velocity

=(40*10^-6) × (42) × (2.0066)

=0.003371V

Therefore, the magnitude emf that is induced between the driver and passenger sides of the truck is 0.003371V

Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

Effort=300N

Load=900N

Load distance=20m

Now,

Ed=(L*Ld)/E

Ed=(900*20)/300

Ed=1800/300

Ed=6m
