A worker wants to turn over a uniform 1040-N rectangular crate by pulling at 53.0 ∘ on one of its vertical sides (the figure (Fi

gure 1) ). The floor is rough enough to prevent the crate from slipping
How hard does the floor push on the crate?
Find the friction force on the crate

> How hard does the floor push on the crate?

We have to find the net vertical (normal) Fn force which results from Fp and Fg.
We know that the normal component of Fg is just Fg, which is equal to as 1040N.
From the geometry, the normal component of Fp can be calculated:
Fpn = Fp * cos(θp)
= 952.5 N * cos(53)
= 573.23 N

The total normal force Fn then is:
Fn = Fg + Fpn
= 1040 + 573.23
= 1613.2 N

> Find the friction force on the crate

We have to look for the net horizontal force Fh which results from Fp and Fg. Since Fg is a normal force entirely, so we can say that the horizontal component is zero:

Fh = Fph + Fgh
= (Fp * sin(θp)) + 0
= 952.5 * sin(53)
= 760.7 N

> What is the minimum coefficient of static friction needed to prevent the crate from slipping on the floor?

We just need to compute the ratio Fh to Fn to get the minimum μs.

μs = Fh / Fn

= 760.7 N / 1613.2 N

= 0.472

What would happen if the parent cell were to divide more times than usual during mitosis
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

Mitosis is a type of cell division in which a parent cell divides into two identical daughter cells, each with the same number and kind of chromosomes as the parent cell.

When a parent cell divides more times than usual during mitosis, the division of chromosomes between the chromosomes would not be proper. For example, a daughter cell may end up with one chromosome less than the parent cell. This ultimately results in genetic disorders.

Which of the following is a part of both geocentric model and heliocentric model
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

These planets rotate around the sun in a circular path. Likewise in a heliocentric model it is believed that the sun is at the center of the universe and the planet earth along with all other planet move around it. Thus in both geocentric model and heliocentric model bodies in space move in circular orbits.

Please re-explain the following phrases in terms of momentum
zheka24 [161]
A. An object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force : The momentum of an object is constant unless an outside force acts on the object.

B. Force is defined as mass times acceleration : the rate of change of the momentum of a particle is proportional to the force F acting on it, hence the force is equal to mass times acceleration.

C. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction : to every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction force.
