The most obvious challenge that I can think of is the topic of censoring the internet. If the internet is truly for everyone then it has to be inclusive to all beliefs, ideas and cultures. Unfortunately for this to happen, some use the internet for destructive purposes.

According to Vint Cerf, "Internet is for everyone - but it won't be if it isn't affordable by all that wish to partake of its services, so we must dedicate ourselves to making the Internet as affordable as other infrastructures so critical to our well-being." This is one of the most obvious challenges of internet consumption. The problem with, let's say oligopolies (wherein only few companies provide the internet such as in some countries in Southeast Asia), internet service can be priced unreasonably or may not be of optimal quality. This is because there is not much competition, which is what makes the few companies confident to manipulate their services for self gain.

Suppose the government applies a specific tax to a good where the demand elasticity, E, is -1.4, and the supply elasticity, n, i
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is option D.

Explanation:

The demand elasticity is -1.4.

The supply elasticity is 1.2.

Since the demand is elastic, the imposition of tax will not be profitable for the government.

The imposition of tax will increase the price of the good, this will decrease the demand for good, thus the revenue will decrease.

The tax incidence on consumers

= E (supply) / (E (demand)) + E (supply)

= \frac{1.2}{1.2 - 1.4}

= \frac{1.2}{-0.2}

= -6

Leadership in small firms is more ____ in comparison to the leadership in large corporations.
enyata [817]

Answer:

different

Explanation:

There is a significant difference in small firms leadership compared to large firms depending on legal structures, number of employees in a firm and financial availability.

Large firms have more departments, employees, and operations compared to small ones. For instance, the leadership style and structure required to manage operations and employees in large firms will need to be highly structured to ensure there is effective command and information flow. For small firms, a simple command and communication flow structure will suffice as the number of employees and departments involved are few.

In a sweezy oligopoly, the profit-maximizing level of output occurs where:_____.
hodyreva [135]

In a Sweezy oligopoly, the profit-maximizing level of output occurs where mr=mc.

Paul M. Sweezy created the oligopoly's kinked demand curve in 1939. The model explains how oligopolistic groups behave rather than placing emphasis on how price-output determination occurs.

With an equilibrium output of Q units and an equilibrium price of P, the oligopolist maximizes profits by equating marginal income with marginal cost.

Due to each company's desire to maximize profits, there is frequently intense competition among them when it comes to pricing, production, and promotion.

The main distinction between a monopolist and a perfectly competitive firm is that although for a monopolist, marginal revenue is not equal to the price since changes in output quantity affect the price.

Explain the roles of taxation and government expenditure in the circular flow of income
STatiana [176]
The role of taxation in the circular flow of income, is basically to have a medium of revenue for the government, if the government is able to earn money, they are able to spend it on the economy.
So then the role of Government expenditure is to make sure the money goes back into the economy, if the government were to save the money, the economy will have restriction to grow, if all the money the government creates from tax was put back into the economy by spending in say, Heath, Education, Investment, the economy can grow because then household will spend money from their income to utilise these industries.
Hopefully this helps!
