We know that
[area of the figure]=[area of rectangle]+[area of semi circle]

area of rectangle=b*h------> 10*18-----> 180 cm²

area of semicircle=pi*r²/2
diameter=18 cm
radius=18/2----> 9 cm
area of semicircle=pi*9²/2-----> 127.17 cm²

[area of the figure]=[180]+[127.17]------> 307.17 cm²
round <span>to the nearest unit </span>------> 307 cm²

the answer is
the area of the figure is 307 cm²

Louisa drew a polygon with six sides of equal length. If the perimeter of Louisa's polygon is 95.4 centimeters, how long is each
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

15.9 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

the information we have is:

Perimeter: P=95.4cm

Number of sides of the polygon: n=6

since each side has equal length, we can use the following equation to find the measure of one side of the polygon, the equation for perimeter:

P=nl

where n is the number of sides and l is the length of each side.

So we clear for l and we get:

l=\frac{P}{n}

and subtituting the known values:

l=\frac{95.4cm}{6}\\ l=15.9cm

each side is 15.6 centimeters long

The stock of Company A lost 2% today to $46.55. What was the opening price of the stock in the beginning of the day?
cluponka [151]

Answer:

$2327.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The stock of company A lost 2% today .

Let the price of the stock at the beginning of the day be A.

Therefore, a 2% loss of A = $46.55

That’s

2% /100% x A = $46.55

0.02 x A = $46.55

Divide both sides by 0.02

0.02/0.02 x A = $46.55/0.02

A = $2327.5

The price of stock at the beginning of the opening day was $2327.5

Which expression is equal to 5^4 x 5^8 ? <br><br> A: 5^12<br> B: 5^4<br> C: 5^2<br> D: 5^−4
galben [10]

Something to remember is how to multiply terms with same bases, but different exponents:

a^b \cdot a^c = a^{(b+c)}

Essentially, we add the exponents.

Using the information above, we can find our answer:

5^4 \cdot 5^8 = 5^{(4+8)} = \boxed{5^{12}}

Our answer is \boxed{5^{12}}, or A.
