Answer:

6/12

Step-by-step explanation:

Note the shaded amount of "parts". You are supposed to put the shaded amount of parts over the total amount of parts.

In the first rectangle, it shows 2 of 3 parts as shaded, and so the fraction is: 2/3

In the second rectangle, it shows 3 of 4 parts shaded, and so the fraction is: 3/4

Finally, the 3rd rectangle shows 6 of 12 parts shaded, and so the fraction is:

6/12

Check by multiplying the fractions across:

(2/3) x (3/4) = (2 x 3)/(3 x 4) = 6/12

6/12 is your answer.

If you need to simplify, divide common factors from both the numerator and denominator, in this case being 6.

(6/12)/(6/6) = 1/2

1/2 is your reduced answer.

Which equation represents the line that passes through points B and C on the graph? 2 4 3 B 3 4 5 ภา
777dan777 [17]

The point B has coordinates (-4,2) and C has coordinates (-2,-2). We are going to calculate the slope of the line

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=\frac{-2-2}{-2-(-4)}=-2

Then, we are going to calculate the intercept using the slope m=-2 and the point (-4,2).

y=mx+b

2 = -2*(-4)+b

Isolating b we get

2-8=b= -6

The equation would be

y=-2x-6, option A

Help on #9 I don't get it!
Fantom [35]

Your trying to rearrange the equation with v were the r was.

2( v - h ) / k = r

2( v - h ) k / k = rk

2( v - h ) = rk

2( v - h ) / 2 = rk / 2

v - h = rk / 2

v - h + h = rk / 2 + h

v = rk / 2 + h

If the denominators are not the same, then you have to use equivalent fractions which do have a common denominator . To do this, you need to find the least common multiple (LCM) of the two denominators. To add fractions with unlike denominators, rename the fractions with a common denominator. Then add and simplify.

https://www.coolmath4kids.com/math-help/fractions/adding-and-subtracting-fractions-different-denominators

For example:
1/2 + 1/3

We need to find something called the least common denominator (LCD)... It's really just the LCM of our denominators, 2 and 3.

The LCM of 2 and 3 is 6. So, our LCD 6.

We need to make this our new denominator...

Change the 1/2:

1 x 3 over 2 x 3 = 3/6

Change the 1/3:

1/2 + 1/3 = 3/6 + 2/6

Now we can do it!

(3+2)/6 = 5/6
