(8 p / h) *  <u>"x"</u> h = p (in dollars).
_________________________________

in which:  "h" = hours ;
                "p" = pay (in units of dollars);
                "x" = number of hours.
_________________________________
In the equation, on the left hand side, the unit symbol "h" would "cancel out" to "1" ;
             and we would have:
_________________________________
8 p * x = _<u>[total "p"]</u>__

kotykmax [81]
The equation would have to be set up as 4b - 4 = 10.36. This is because you’re buying 4 boxes of fruit loops, and $1 taken off each box is $4 total for all four boxes.

I dont understand this problem
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

D and F

Step-by-step explanation:

x^{2}+4x+4=12 can be rewritten as x^{2} +4x-8=0.

From there you can use the quadratic formula x=\frac{-b±\sqrt{b^{2}+4ac } }{2a} (ignore the A, I can‘t seem to remove it), where a=1, b=4, and c=-8.

x=\frac{-4±\sqrt{4^{2}-4(1)(-8)} }{2(1)}

Then you get x=\frac{-4±\sqrt{16+32}}{2}

Then you get x=\frac{-4±\sqrt{48} }{2}

So x=-2±\frac{4\sqrt{3} }{2}

Which means x=-2+2\sqrt{3} or -2-2\sqrt{3} which are choices D and F.

Evaluate the expression 4(2x + 3) + 2(x + 1)-7
Svetlanka [38]
4 (2x + 3) + 2 (x + 1) - 7

8x + 12 + 2x +  2 - 7

10x + 7

10x = -7
10x/10 = -7/10

x = -7/10

hope this helps

URGENT EXPLANATION AND SOLVING
Alex787 [66]
\cfrac{a}{\sin(a)} = \cfrac{b}{\sin(b)} &#10;

\cfrac{31}{\sin(42)} = \cfrac{37}{\sin(x)} &#10;

31\sin(x) = 37 \sin(42)

\sin(x) = \cfrac{37 \sin(42) }{31}

x = \sin^{-1}(\cfrac{37 \sin(42) }{31} )

x = 53 \textdegree
