5 can go into 10 and 20 so you just want to divide them by five which gives you
2/4.

its still not simplified yet so 2 can go in to 2 and 4 so we divide them your answer should be 1/2

so your simplified answer for 10/20 is 1/2

so 10/20=1/2

same thing for 30/60

10 can go into 30 and 60 so we divide them by 10

you should get 3/6

its still not simplified

3 can go into 3/6 so we divide them by 3

you should get 1/2

 so 30/60= 1/2

10/20 = 1/2.

30/60 = 1/2

so your simplified answer for both of them is 1/2

I hope this helped!

Help!
Andru [333]

Answer:

21 Students played string instruments

Step-by-step explanation:

58 - 16 = 42, 42 ÷ 2 = 21 so 21 + 21 + 16 = 58. because there are sixteen more wind instruments that means you need to have the wind and string equal and then add 16 more winds which is what i did, if you have 21 string instruments and (21+16) 37 wind instruments then you have 58

A contractor purchases ceramic tile to remodel a kitchen floor. Each tile costs $4.00, and the adhesive and grouting material ne
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

160 tiles.

Step-by-step explanation:

First let's make an equation.

Each tile costs $4, let's make <em>t=number of tiles.</em>

+$15.82, and the total cost being $655.82

So ideally our equation would look like

<em>4t+15.82=655.82</em>

<em />

Now solve.

First, subtract <em>15.82 </em>on both sides.

<em>4t=640</em>

Second, divide <em>4 </em>on both sides to make the variable <em>t </em>by itself.

<em>t=160</em>

<em />

So, the contractor purchased 160 tiles.
