What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line whose equation is 7x−3y=10?

Since this equation is already in standard form, there is no need to convert it. Standard form is Ax + By = C. In this equation, 7 = A, 3 = B, and 10 = C. From standard form, Ax + By = C equals negative A over B.

7x + 3y = 10

↓

\displaystyle\ m= \frac{-7}{-3}

Then you'd simplify.

\displaystyle\ m=\frac{7}{3}

The slope cannot be simplified any more, so this would be the final answer.

mel-nik [20]

Answer:

10:30am

Step-by-step explanation:

total lesson time is 1 hr and 15 min (10 to 11:15).

lesson time is 1 hr total and the break mid way is :15 long.

the lesson before the break is from 10-10:30 (:30 length)

break is at 10:30 (:15 long concluding at 10:45).

lesson resumes at 10:45 when break is over

the lesson runs another :30 until 11:15 (10:45-11:15)

halfway thru the lesson is 10:30am for the break to start

The slope of a line is 2. The y-intercept of the line is –6. Which statements accurately describe how to graph the function?
gogolik [260]

Answer:  If you plot a point in the y-axis at -6, you can plot two more points by using the slope "rise over run" Then draw a line connecting the points.

The coordinate of the y intercept is (0.-6)  To find the first x values of the first 2 coordinates, add 1 then 2 to 0. To find the y values, add 2 then 4 to the -6

Step-by-step explanation:

From -6 go up 2 over 1 and plot at (1, -4 )  then up 2 over 1 again to (2, -2)

The x- intercept will be at  (3,0)

To increase the mean of 4 numbers by 2. by how much would the sum of the 4 numbers have to increase?
Orlov [11]
So mean also translates to average so
the mean of 4 numbers is aprox
x=average
(x+x+x+x)/4=average
to increase x by 2 you add 2
x+2=average
(x+2+x+2+x+2+x+2)=4=(4x+8)/4=x+2

you would have to increase the sum/total by 8 to make the numbers' averages' go up by 2

The product of what number and 7 is less than 49
Shalnov [3]
Any number less than seven (the product is what you get when you multiply two numbers together.) Since 7*7=49, 7*anything less than 7 is less than 49.
