Unlike the methods of early scientists, Sir Francis Bacon believed basic laws of science should be determined by using inductive reasoning based on empirical evidence. You cannot formulate a law in science if you don't have evidence to support it - so you cannot just take a basic truth and formulate your law based on that - there has to be some kind of evidence to prove your theories. Also, based on those evidence, you will induce a conclusion necessary for such laws, which is something Bacon understood, unlike early scientists.

Burning fossil fuels like coal and oil puts more carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. NASA has observed increases in the amount of carbon dioxide and some other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. How igneous and sedimentary rocks turn to metamorphic rocks?
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

Heat, pressure and chemistry compounds around the rocks.

Explanation:

Metamorphic rock is formed by pre-existent rocks (igneous and sedimentary, sometimes from another metamorphic rock), those rocks were modified by the effect of heat (high temperature), pressure (under the terrestrial surface) and chemistry compounds around the rocks. The physical and mineralogical composition becomes different than the original form.

This process is called metamorphism.
