When a battery is connected to a circuit, the electrons from the anode travel through the circuit toward the cathode in a direct circuit. The voltage of a battery is synonymous with its electromotive force, or emf. This force is responsible for the flow of charge through the circuit, known as the electric current.

When do (object distance) is very large, what does the thin lens equation predict for the value of 1/f?
N76 [4]

Answer:

1 / f = 1 / o + 1 / i

1 / image distance + 1 / object distance = 1  focal length

If the object distance is large the image will be at about the focal length

The value of 1 / f is fixed for any one particular lense

As the object distance decreases the image must increase

The above equation can also be written as

o i / (i + o) = f    or i / (i / o + 1)  = f

If for instance o was very large the image would be at the focal length

A loaded 500 kg sled is traveling on smooth horizontal snow at 5 m/s when it suddenly comes to a rough region. The region is 10
sergejj [24]

Answer:

400 N

Explanation:

Change of Kinetic Energy to Friction Wok

∆KE = W

½ x m x (v(5)² - v(3)²) = f x d

½ x 500 x (5² - 3²) = f x 10

250 x (25 - 9) = f x 10

25 x 16 = f

f = 400 N

A straight vertical wire carries a current of 1.0 A into the page in a region where the magnetic field strength is 0.60 T. What
Advocard [28]

Answer:

force on the wire of section  cm will be 6\times 10^{-3}N

Direction of force on the wire will be in south direction

Explanation:

We have given current in the wire i = 1 A

Magnetic field strength B = 0.6 T

We have to find the force on 1 cm section of the wire so l = 1 cm = 0.01 m

Force on the wire containing current is equal to

F=iBL

F=1\times 0.6\times 0.01=6\times 10^{-3}N

So force on the wire of section  cm will be 6\times 10^{-3}N

Direction of force on the wire will be in south direction
