I found that Joe has 28 red pepper plants and 8 green pepper plants.

to find this, I first set up a proportion:
7/2 = (20+x)/x

then you cross multiply giving you:
7x = 40 + 2x

Subtract 2x from both sides:
5x = 40

solve for x:
x = 8 (which is the amount of green pepper plants)

to find how many red pepper plants he has, plug in x for (20 + x) giving you 28 red pepper plants

Hope I helped :)

Describe the distribution of the data with regard to the shape, outliers, center, and spread.
Pepsi [2]
Create a frequency chart by using a bar graph as shown in the picture below. A frequency chart is used when you want to present how much of the data belongs to one group. For this problem, it specifically represents how many people belong to a time interval. The y-axis is the number of people and the x-axis is the time expressed in intervals.

As you can see visually, the shape of the distribution graph is skewed to the right, although not uniformly. This is justified because the relatively high data are situated on the far right side of the graph. Also, there are no outliers in the data because they are all pretty close to each other. No bar is obviously different from the others. The center is the median of all the data. If you create a middle line as represented by the horizontal line, the center data point is 21. You can verify this by arranging all the data points from smallest to largest, and selecting the middle data. Lastly, the spread is from the lowest value to the highest value. The lowest value is at 12 to 1 pm with 19 people. The highest value is at 4 to 5 pm with 24 people. Therefore, the spread is from 19 to 24.

Add.
Sidana [21]

Answer:

1\frac{7}{20}

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Convert the mixed number to an improper fraction to match the rest of the problem (this just makes it easier for now, the answer will still be a mixed number)

-1\frac{4}{5} becomes \frac{9}{5}

2. Re-write the new equation. When there is a "+" in front of a set of parentheses the expression doesn't change aside from removing the plus signs.

The new equation becomes

\frac{9}{5} - \frac{1}{4} -\frac{1}{5}

3. Calculate. Just work out the new expression.

The answer is \frac{27}{20}

4. Convert to a simplified mixed decimal.

27 goes into 20 once with seven left over, making the answer 1\frac{7}{20}

On a certain hot summer day, 673 people used the public swimming pool. The daily prices are 1.75 for children and 2.00 for adult
amid [387]

Answer:

Number of children = 386

Number of adults = 287

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x = number of children

y = number of adults

x + y = 673 (1)

1.75x + 2y = 1249.50 (2)

From (1)

x = 673 - y

Substitute x = 673 - y into (2)

1.75x + 2y = 1249.50

1.75(673 - y) + 2y = 1249.50

1177.75 - 1.75y + 2y = 1249.50

- 1.75y + 2y = 1249.50 - 1177.75

0.25y = 71.75

y = 71.75/0.25

y = 287

Substitute y = 287 into (1)

x + y = 673

x + 287 = 673

x = 673 - 287

x = 386

Number of children = 386

Number of adults = 287
