I found that Joe has 28 red pepper plants and 8 green pepper plants.

to find this, I first set up a proportion:
7/2 = (20+x)/x

then you cross multiply giving you:
7x = 40 + 2x

Subtract 2x from both sides:
5x = 40

solve for x:
x = 8 (which is the amount of green pepper plants)

to find how many red pepper plants he has, plug in x for (20 + x) giving you 28 red pepper plants

Hope I helped :)

An air traffic controller spots two airplanes at the same altitude converging to a point as they fly at right angles to each oth
muminat
So.... notice the picture below

we know when y = 140 and x = 240, r = 250

so let's use the pythagorean theorem

\bf r^2=x^2+y^2\implies 2r\cfrac{dr}{dt}=2x\cfrac{dx}{dt}+2y\cfrac{dy}{dt}\implies \cfrac{dr}{dt}=\cfrac{x\frac{dx}{dt}+y\frac{dy}{dt}}{r}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{dr}{dt}=\cfrac{240\cdot 480+70\cdot 140}{250}\implies \cfrac{dr}{dt}=500

now... how much time does the controller have? well, say, plane "y" is going at dy/dt of 140mph, and is 70 miles away, 140 is 2*70, so it can cover those 70 miles in 1/2 hr, and when it does, it'll collide with the other,

so, the controller has that much, less than 1/2 hr

Find a vector a with representation given by the directed line segment ab.a(−2, 4), b(3, 5)
saul85 [17]
For this case what you should know is that the vector ab will be given by:
 ab = b-a
 We have then:
 ab = (3, 5) - (- 2, 4)
 ab = ((3 - (- 2)), (5-4))
 ab = (5, 1)
 Equivalently the vector is:
 ab = 5i + 1j
 Answer:
 ab = 5i + 1j

Write the product as the product of a whole number and unit fraction <br> 2x4/5=
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

1 \frac{3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to multiply the numbers of the numerator. Thus:

\frac{2 \times 4}{5}

=  \frac{8}{5}

Writing the answer above as the product of a whole number and unit fraction (that is, mixed number), 5 goes in 8 1 time remainder 3. Therefore:

=  \frac{8}{5}  = 1  \frac{3}{5}
