Since the question is using the baby as a reference for much the male and female eats. Treat baby as the variable or x
So 3x+2x+x=181.5lb
6x=181.5lb
x=30.25lb.
female lb.=2×30.25=60.5lb of bamboo
hopefully that helps.

** Which of the following is parallel to the line 2x + 4y = 16 (A) y = 2x + 5 (B) y = -x + 4 (C) y = -x + 8 (D) y = 2x + 5 =-
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

None of them.

Step-by-step explanation:

Each and every straight line is of one kind in terms of its pattern: it can be presented in the view of y = kx + b: k is the slope or gradient of the line, b is the y-intercept of the line. I will not let the cat out of the bag if I say that any parallel lines do not intersect one another, hence they should have the same value of coefficient k.

2x + 4y = 16 \Leftrightarrow x + 2y = 8 \Leftrightarrow 2y = -x + 8 \Leftrightarrow y = - \frac{1}{2}x + 4

Therefore, our line has k = - \frac{1}{2} and b = 4 coefficients.

(A) k = 2, b = 5;

(B) k = -1, b = 4;

(С) k = -1, b = 8;

(D) k = 2, b = 5;

Recapitulating this: none of them have the same coefficient k, thus none of them suit us.

Mike drank more than half the juice in his glass. what fraction of the juice could Mike have drunk?
maxonik [38]
He drank more than half of his drink... So we need to look for fractions greater than 1/2.

First, lets find equivalents of 1/2

\frac{1}{2}= \frac{2}{4} = \frac{3}{6}= \frac{4}{8}

If all of these fractions are equal to 1/2, then by adding to the numerator of these fractions, we'l have fractions greater than 1/2.

 2 +1 3
__= ___
 4      4

3/4 is greater than 1/2

Mike could have drunken 3/4 of the juice

4/6>1/2 Mike could have drunken 4/6 of the juice

5/8 is greater then 1/2 Mike could have drank 5/8 of the drink.

Answer=3/4, 4/6, 5/8 and many more possible fractions
